What is UltraElastic™?

UltraElastic™ is a non-newtonian fluid, which means it doesn’t behave like normal liquids. Under stress or impact, its viscosity – how thick or runny it is – changes, allowing the material to transform from a soft, malleable foam into a hard, protective shell. Basically, UltraElastic™ works hard to keep your device protected – and your mind at ease.

Based on the concept of elastic protection, a design based on the suspension bridge principle is added to create ultra-elastic protection corners. The upgrade of technology + material + shape, these three points are enough to bring the performance of UltraElastic™ to the extreme.

How does it work?

1. Intelligent molecules ensure the material is soft when at rest.

2. Upon impact, the material transforms into a hard, protective shell to guard against shock.

3. The hydrogen bonds between the molecules absorb the impact energy.

4. When the shock has been absorbed, the material returns to its original soft state.

Why did we make UltraElastic™?

Our UltraElastic™ technology offers extreme protection for phones and smaller devices, but due to its solid nature we needed to create something lightweight for bigger devices such as MacBooks and iPads. Enter UltraElastic™. Because of the ways the molecules in UltraElastic™ are arranged, it’s a less dense but very protective material – and an ideal solution for larger tech essentials.

When UltraElastic™ hits a solid surface, all the molecules gather to form a protective shell around your device.

Impact absorption

When impacted, the hydrogen bonds between the molecules temporarily break, consuming energy which would otherwise hit your device.

Airbag shock absorption

The airbag is installed inside the silicone layer so that when the product falls to the ground, it will slow down the deceleration speed. This can reduce the impact on the equipment.
